Road Traffic and Transport Legislation Update 9

ROAD TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT LEGISLATION UPDATE:

• The following Bills have been approved by the NCOP on 5 December 2023 and are now being sent to the President for assent:

•   National Road Traffic Amendment Bill, B7D – 2020

• National Land Transport Bill, B16F of 2016
• Economic Regulation of Transport Bill, B1D of 2020.

• National Land Transport Act (5/2009) (“NLTA”) – Government Notice 2201 in GG 49768 was published on 24 November 2023: Publication of Final Operating Licence Conditions as Determined by the Western Cape Province Regulatory Entity and Stipulated by Planning Authorities.

• AARTO LEGISLATION WORKSHOPS – February 2024

AARTO Workshop - the latest AARTO Act and Regulation amendments with the practical application of the legislation. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).  The cost is R2 500 per person.  The office will be closed from 15 December 2023 up to 12 January 2024.  We will address the registrations when we are back in the office.
